Young actress plans to give birth in US

SOON to be mother, young actress Jennylyn Mercado said she is planning to deliver her baby in the US. Jennylyn said in an interview that she will still finalize the idea with her mother and manager Becky Aguila.

"I am not yet sure but we will finalize it first, but there is a possibility and I am really planning for that already," the singer-actress said. Jennylyn is expected to give birth a baby boy on September. She said she plans to deliver her baby in San Jose, California and then brushed off chances that she might bump into Patrick Garcia (father of Jennylyn's baby) who reportedly also planning to go to the US.

"Actually I am not aware that he will be going to the States. But I think we will be staying in a different city," she said. When asked if Patrick knows about her decision, she said the actor is not aware of it and she has not discussed it with him.

Jennylyn said she came up with her decision with her mother and manager's approval and support. As an advice for other young stars who will become pregnant, she said: "Take care of themselves and their baby of course. They should also have positive outlook in life to have a happy baby." Jennylyn backs out

By : Edgar O. Cruz | Entertainment Editor
3 June 2008 | 9:59 AM

The real intention of the sponsor willing to pay the expenses of Jennylyn Mercado’s delivery in the US must have been exposed so that she has backed out of the plan. Patrick Garcia, the baby’s acknowledged father, is not living up to his responsibility of financial and emotional support. Jennylyn grew tired of expecting this from him that is why she did the best next thing, that is, reject him for being an irresponsible father. The buzz is that this sponsor is out to snatch her baby upon delivery. This was scooped by BuzzBox sometime back. She must have been enlighted by business manager Becky Aguila who is currently supporting her. Becky has this personal relationship with her talents that makes her take care of them not only in good times but even if they are down and out.

Kahit Sandali’ the best of Jennylyn

People's Journal, 06/03/08

JENNYLYN Mercado is back with another album, Kahit Sandali, packed with songs from her two previous albums and with three new tracks, How Do I Live, Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You, and P.S. I Love You. This album is Jennylyn at her prime and at her best.

The first single, How Do I Live, is Jennylyn’s third duet project with Janno Gibbs. This is a mellow version of Con-Air’s OST and also has the soothing effect of Moments of Love.

The simple and traditional guitars and keyboards arrangement highlighted Jennylyn and Janno’s vocals, directing the listener to feel the raw ache of the lyrics. Posing a question on the uncertainty of life after a loved one is gone, How Do I Live is a fitting opener for the album.

In P.S. I Love You, a George Canseco composition and theme song for GMA’s 7 telenovela La Vendetta, Jennylyn delivers the drama with her voice cutting clear and painfully honest. In Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You, Jennylyn sings with the awareness of the fleeting present, Hold me now/touch me now/I don’t want to live without you, which draws us back to what the whole album asks of us: just a second, just a moment.

Time has already narrowed to the very second of our breath, and what Kahit Sandali proposes is that we enjoy life and love to the fullest in spite of all the losses we experience. What the album has definitely achieved is a wonderful arc of songs, starting with the singer’s hesitation and worries on How Do I Live, and ending with Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You, which is a promise told on in spite of al the uncertainties of the moment. In between, we are offered notable tracks including If I’m Not In Love With You and Kahit Sandali, from Living the Dream and I’d Still Say Yes, The Art of Letting Go, and Moments of Love from Letting Go.

Put together in an album, these songs have successfully brought before us life’s split-second reality – how we are always thrown into a quickride from love to love’s loss, and back to love, once more.

“Kahit Sandali” the Best of Jennylyn Mercado album is released by GMA Records and distributed by Universal Records nationwide.

Greener pastures

Mom-to-be Jennylyn Mercado can’t wait to sing lullabies to her baby. Meanwhile, she’s humming tunes from her new album “Kahit Sandali Lang” (GMA Records). It includes “How Do I Live,” “Letting Go,” “I’d Still Say Yes,” “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You” and more.

Jen’s still undecided whether she’ll give birth here or in the US. “I have to decide soon ‘cause I won’t be allowed to fly if I’m eight months pregnant na,” she says. “I’m elated at the thought that there’s a kind soul who’s offering to sponsor my US trip, if ever.”

Jen would rather ignore the green minds wondering who her benefactor is. What matters to her is the greener pastures an American citizenship would give her baby.

“I don’t have the means para makausap siya.

Whatever she wanna do to make her happy, sige gawin niya.”

“I heard that when she gives birth, she only wants her manager and her mom na makasama niya.

“Pero the more na subukan kong ayusin, lalong gumugulo.
