JENNYLYN Mercado refuses to talk at length about how she helped Jean and Jennica Garcia and their other neighbors whose homes got flooded in Vista Real at the height of typhoon “Ondoy.” Jennica said Jen and her Mommy Lydia were so generous they accommodated all those who sought shelter in their house.

"I just did what anyone would do sa neighbors niyang nangangailangan ng tulong."

As for Jennica, she'd rather not return to their house. "Naiiyak ako everytime I remember what happened to me, my mom and my brother," she says. Ganun kagrabe. But I really want to thank Jennylyn kasi they welcomed us wholeheartedly, offering us dry clothes and food. Naging evacuation center ang bahay nila. Buti na lang dalawa ang shows ko ngayon, 'SRO present Reunion' on Thursday nights and 'Dear Friend' on Sunday afternoons, kaya 'yung kikitain ko roon will be a big help para maka-recover kaming unti-unti."

As for Jen, she's glad that more and more people are watching her new show, "Ikaw Sana," seen Monday to Friday at 6 p.m. before "24 Oras." A lot of people notice that Pauleen Luna is so mean to her in their scenes together.

But it's all part of our work at naiintindihan ko kung tumotodo ang sampal at sabunot niya sa'kin. We all want to be convincing kaya ako rin, ayoko kung dadayain lang ang eksena. Tonight, you'll find out what happens to me after itulak niya ako't mawalan ako ng malay."
