A year after going on air, the program Front Row in GMA News TV has earned a number of awards and recognitions. It got two nominations from the prestigious New York Festivals, was the lone finalist from the Philippines at the UNICEF Asia-Pacific Child Rights Award 2011, won the best Television Journalism Award at the 1st Migration Advocacy and Media Awards, POPDEV Awards and Anak TV.

This March, as part of its first year anniversary presentation, Front Row is presenting the stories, unique stories of people who will go through unique challenges that will mirror the issues confronting women.

On its first anniversary episode, Jennylyn Mercado, will share a part of her life, the time when she became the victim of child battering and show she was able to recover from that painful past. Jennylyn’s story is no different from that other young people in our midst. Some young people are still undergoing some form of maltreatment and battering.

In a rare instance, witness as Jennylyn reveals the sad part of her life and how she coped with it.
