“It’s nice to work with Jen,” sabi ni Sid nang makausap ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) sa Party Pilipinas noong Linggo, July 8.

“We’re actually gonna be working together on the same scene all the time.

“It’s more comfortable na nga now, e. Kasi we’ve already worked twice.

“Yo’ng first was… I think sa Starstruck Playhouse, like… ten years ago. Something like that,” sabay ngiti niya.

“And since nagkatrabaho na nga kami dati ni Jen, we’re already friends. So it’s easier to play on the scene.

“Masarap siyang katrabaho. She’s really light. Kahit hanggang sa umaga.

“Kahit puyat na lahat, with her, everything is still funny. Of course… tired. Pero it keeps the energy flowing.

No Deal last week at two weeks ago.

Pero ayon sa aming reliable source, it had something to do with his lungs diumano.

Jennylyn, Sid visit Cebu

By Glaiza Jarloc
Monday, July 9, 2012

"HINDI Ka Na Mag-iisa" lead actors Jennylyn Mercado and Sid Lucero went to Cebu during the weekend to treat their Cebuano supporters with series of events and fun-filled activities.

The actors said they were happy to have returned the "Queen City of the South" again because the place is "very close" to their heart.

Jennylyn said she visited the province early this year with son Alex Jazz. It was the first out-of-town trip of her son with actor Patrick Garcia.

The mother and son stayed at Plantation Bay in Lapu-Lapu City where they were able to relax for a couple of days and enjoy the simple life the place offered.

The actress also revealed that she has relatives living in Consolacion town, which was incidentally the venue of last weekend's events.

Sid, for his part, stayed and studied in Cebu City for four years after his parents, actors Mark Gil and Bing Pimentel separated.

"I was brought here by my mother and I stayed in my aunt's place. I understand (the Cebuano language) more than I can speak," he said.

The actor said he has lots of memorable experiences and friends in the province and he will never get tired of visiting the place.

Sid and Jennylyn will star the new afternoon soap "Hindi Ka Na Mag-iisa" of GMA Network channel.

According to Sid, he's excited to work with Jennylyn and share the small screen with Crystal Reyes, Carl Guevarra, siblings Frank and Saab Magalona and Angelu de Leon.

"She's always fun to work with. I worked with her before, about 10 years ago, then we did another movie and this is the first time I'll be doing a tv show with her. I'm just excited for this project," he said.

Sid said he is also thankful to his mother network for the opportunity to star in a new afternoon series after the success of "Legacy" on primetime block.

"It's flattering and at the same time very grateful and thankful. Every time I do a show, I feel like it is my last show and I don't know what's next for me. With this, I consider a very big blessing," said the actor who is slowly stepping out of the shadows of his parents and the whole Eigenmann clan.

Sid said he's slowly gaining the confidence. The pressure is lifted from his shoulders and he has this craving to better himself at work.

When asked if his father gave few tips on his showbiz career, the actor shared the message Mark gave him almost 10 years ago.

"He said to me 'Welcome to the ugly yet wonderful world of showbiz. Finally we have something to talk about. Don't think about what you are going to make, and don't think about who's watching because all of those will just come. Love your job and it will love you back," he said quoting his father.

The actor recently signed a two-year exclusive contract with GMA-7. He is expected to star in numerous series which will be produced by the network.

Sid is also part of Laguna Governor ER Ejercito's movie "El Presidente" with Superstar Nora Aunor. The President Emlio Aguinaldo movie is expected to be released on December, during the Metro Manila Film Festival.

Jennylyn and Sid's drama series airs weekdays after "Eat Bulaga on the Kapuso Network. (Sunnex)

FINANCIAL SUPPORT.

I have to clarify that with ano…

“Medyo of course sometimes ‘pag walang trabaho, medyo nahihirapan, di ba?

“I think… if ever man, naiintindihan naman ni Jennlyn yun at saka ni Tita Lydia [Jennylyn’s mom] yun.

“Ganun naman, give and take naman kami.

“So, gano’n talaga ang buhay.”

KEY stars of GMA’s newest afternoon drama series, Hindi Ka Na Mag-iisa, shared some fun-filled moments with Cebuano fans in various events last July 7.

Leading the parade of Kapuso artists was Jennylyn Mercado who appeared before the local press looking simple yet beautiful. She openly expressed her excitement about coming back to taking on a lead role as Elisa, saying, “Masaya.

It can be remembered that she has not been on the drama frontlines for 10 months or so. Hosting, recording and athletic affairs have kept her busy, though, not to mention her mothering duties and other activities. She also has a movie coming out with no date set yet.

Jen exuded a delighted disposition for having braved all the struggles she had since joining the industry. She conveyed her content about her current status, but in a hopeful tone added, “Ang ko-kumpleto sa pagiging artist ko ay maging best actress, ‘yun nalang, okay na ako.” By far, she has received a best supporting actress award.

Together with Jen was Sid Lucero, playing the leading man Andrew. Both shared connections with Cebu. While Jen has her family rooted in Consolacion town, Sid lived some time of his childhood in Banawa (Guadalupe, Cebu City). Both boasted some Cebuano words to prove it.

Sid was all smiles, but quick and steadfast with his response when asked about his rumored romance with fellow Kapuso star Heart Evangelista. Although both have just come out from unsuccessful relationships, Sid revealed that they were just “good friends” while adding that they are “comforting” each other like any good friends do.

Other cast members s present in the events were Angelu de Leon (as Jordana), Crystal Reyes (as Angelica) and Carl Guevarra (as Dennis). Hindi Ka Na Mag-iisa premiered yesterday on GMA Afternoon Prime, right after Eat Bulaga.
